Intro to Metalsmithing & Wirewrapping: Map of My Heart Necklace

This workshop is filled with easy-to-learn, accessible, metalsmithing and beginner wirewrapping techniques.

You’ll learn the art of chemically etching metal (brass and nickel silver), using a jeweler’s saw to cut out frames and shapes, cold connections such as riveting, enhancing your designs with hand-stamped words and patterns, texturizing metal with a variety of tools, and wirewrapping (the basics), including creating your own clasp out of wire.

We’ll even use a little heat to alter and distress copper metal mesh. And you’ll leave class with a gorgeous necklace that will be the envy of all your friends!
